A project to reconnect and recommission two bio-gas storage bags at a waste water treatment plant in south London. Hex DS were tasked with the mechanical design of all equipment and piping. This included all technical calculations and drawings.

The site was first scanned using LIDAR scanning equipment. The point cloud was then imported into CAD software and the piping was designed in 3D before production of the 2D deliverables.

 

We then provided on site 3D model reviews for the client team allowing all stakeholders an opportunity to see what their plant would look like prior to making any investment decisions.

 

The highly accurate 3D model meant that more fabrication took place in the fab yard, thus minimising "hot work" at site.
